You can help local families through the winter clothing donation campaign

Organized by Barrie Families Unite, the Winter Winter Clothing Donation Drive collects lightly used items to help families in need this winter.

The drive is currently looking for winter coats, snow pants, boots, toques and mittens. They’re also accepting new donations of socks and underwear and on the last part of the ride they hope to see more jackets, snow pants and children’s boots.

If you have any items to donate, you can drop them off at one of the following locations:

  • Roberts Company Automotive Service – 140 Brock Street
  • Menchies frozen yogurt – 379, rue Bayfield
  • Home Hardware – The 4 Barrie branches in Barrie and Innisfil
  • Around My Gluten Free Table – 411 Huronia Road

Items donated to the Winter Clothing Donation Drive will then be available to everyone on a first come, first served basis at the free winter clothing pop-up store on November 13-14. The pop-up store will open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bayfield Mall Community Hall (next to Pharma Plus).
